- What is a credit?
- Credits are PagePry's universal billing unit. Different API operations cost different amounts of credits depending on the compute resources they require. For example, a static HTML scrape costs 1 credit, while a JS-rendered scrape costs 5 credits because it uses more server resources.
- Do cached responses cost credits?
- No. If we've already scraped the same URL recently and the result is cached, you get the data back for 0 credits. This means repeat queries are effectively free.
- Can I use my credits across all APIs?
- Yes. Credits are fungible across every PagePry product. Whether you're scraping HTML, taking screenshots, or querying SERPs, it all draws from the same monthly pool.
- What happens when I hit my credit limit?
- On the Free plan, requests are blocked until your credits reset. On paid plans, you're billed for overages at your plan's overage rate. You'll never have your workflow interrupted.
- Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?
- Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you're prorated for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next cycle.
- Do unused credits roll over?
- Credits reset each billing period and don't roll over. This keeps pricing simple and predictable for everyone.
