What is a credit?
Credits are PagePry's universal billing unit. Different API operations cost different amounts of credits depending on the compute resources they require. For example, a static HTML scrape costs 1 credit, while a JS-rendered scrape costs 5 credits because it uses more server resources.
Do cached responses cost credits?
No. If we've already scraped the same URL recently and the result is cached, you get the data back for 0 credits. This means repeat queries are effectively free.
Can I use my credits across all APIs?
Yes. Credits are fungible across every PagePry product. Whether you're scraping HTML, taking screenshots, or querying SERPs, it all draws from the same monthly pool.
What happens when I hit my credit limit?
You're billed for overages at your plan's overage rate. Your workflow is never interrupted — requests keep working seamlessly.
Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you're prorated for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next cycle.
Do unused credits roll over?
Credits reset each billing period and don't roll over. This keeps pricing simple and predictable for everyone.
